It's New Years Day 2014 (and yes the blog is a little bit behind, but hey this is the beauty of doing an online diary) and so I thought before we continue with our journey it would be nice to recap on the highlights of the year.
These are my highlights if you think I have missed any out please let me know in the comments below.
I would also like to say a big hello to all of the friends we have made on this journey, some of whom we have met and others that have just given support on the way.
Wishing you all a very happy new year

June 2013
It's a hard choice for June as well, but the winner has to be the day I received a copy of French Property Magazine with my first published article
July 2013
July is spent on holiday and there were so many highlights but Le Petite Train d'Artouste was amazing, we travelled around the tops of the mountains in a little train wearing jeans and a sweater (we somehow didn't associate the tops of snow covered mountains with being cold!!!!)
August 2013
We finally make a start on our new kitchen
September 2013
The trusty BBQ finally leaves the house, this was quite a momentous occasion
October 2013
A bit of a strange one for a highlight, but looking at it positively the day I thought I was going to die and didn't.
November 2013
Finding out that the flights to the UK have stopped just before my baby granddaughters first birthday
The main differences between house buying in England and France

Maybe you could have ended with the trip to see the fireworks in the rain to see the New Year in, only to find that a) there were no fireworks, and b) we were the only four people alive in Huelgoat at that time of night !
