Adhesive tiles are very popular here in France and with the tins of strong adhesive glue, we have had no problems. the floor is nice and warm and as it was perfectly flat before they are not lifting at allJenny and John in Francehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17408328537999407648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4875928554208434261.post-57593177370498237412016-04-18T14:18:15.067-07:002016-04-18T14:18:15.067-07:00Great Job ! Having said that in our new house we have only wood, vinyl or carpet. Tiles are cold and in Vienne winters can be cold and long. Your second bash at rearranging the kitchen gives you a much better and workable triangle. ie the distance between your sink, cooker and fridge.
Helen in FranceAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4875928554208434261.post-17079949232107330082016-04-18T02:12:27.947-07:002016-04-18T02:12:27.947-07:00Please do tell us how the tiles are holding up! A couple of years ago a friend was fixing up a flat just to sell it and we decided to put adhesive tile in a nice pattern over the pitted and cracked tiles. I lost count of how many times I washed and hoovered and whatnot but after only two weeks the edges started peeling. Don't ask me how they fared in the long run, the flat did sell and the new owner had all the floors replaced including the screed (I suppose he had underfloor heating put in).

I hope yours will stay put! It definitely seems that your tile is much smoother, mine had a very rough slip-proof texture that might have played a role.Ragnarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06087234298605439486noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4875928554208434261.post-5593274058619748932016-04-18T00:54:10.565-07:002016-04-18T00:54:10.565-07:00Thanks Paulita and good luck with your move and re...Thanks Paulita and good luck with your move and renovation, feel free to ask anything :)
and thanks for the link to your blogJenny and John in Francehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17408328537999407648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4875928554208434261.post-80200668290861879422016-04-17T18:18:28.682-07:002016-04-17T18:18:28.682-07:00Wow.
